MFG Ambassador Program
About the Ambassador Program
The AMBayArea MFG Ambassador Program connects manufacturers with students, parents, and educators to raise awareness of manufacturing careers.
Manufacturing Ambassadors include skilled trades professionals, manufacturers, and engineers. They bring a message of inspiration, passion, and drive to students who may not be aware of manufacturing and who someday may consider a career in the industry.
This work is carried out in partnership with the region’s Workforce Development Boards, Bay Area Community Colleges, Bay Area LEEDS, The Manufacturing Institute, Earn & Learn, and Bay Area schools.
What do the Ambassadors talk about?
The Ambassadors tell their story, talking about their company and their role within it, and their path to manufacturing.
The Ambassadors share their stories of how they decided to train for their specific job, the details of the post-secondary education and training, and what their current job entails. They are happy to talk about the benefits of working at their company, and answer questions from students and teachers.
