We are thrilled to see meaningful connections being made between companies and schools through the AMBayArea Ambassador Program. With the goal of inspiring the next generation of manufacturing professionals, manufacturers volunteer to speak to students about their companies and opportunities in advanced manufacturing.

Scandic Springs Factory Tour

On January 25, Michael Cellemme, community programs manager at Latitude High School took his students on a tour of Scandic Springs, which is Northern California’s largest stamps and spring manufacturer. The students were shown a presentation to understand the basics of the company and then given a tour of the facility. Scandic employees showed the different processes and machines used to manufacture their products, including large presses, and water and laser cutters.

I really appreciated getting to see all the different stations and how many different skill-sets and types of people and different types of thinking within your company. I had a really good time seeing the big press and all the different machines. Thank you for taking the time to talk to us and show us around your business! I learned a lot and I hope I can explore this in the future. – Latitude High School Student

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn about what you do!  Thank you so much for being you; and showing us what you are so passionate about! – Latitude High School Student
