The Great Reskilling: Why AI Makes Your Blue-Collar Workers More Valuable Than Ever

Manufacturing workforces have potential that automation can unleash rather than replace. This session equips executives with people-leadership frameworks and skills that transform technological disruption into sustainable competitive advantage. We’ll address the leadership challenge technical roadmaps ignore: successfully managing workforce rebalancing. Through illustrative examples, you’ll discover how manufacturing leaders are rebalancing teams to this new “orchestrator-doer” dynamic, creating roles that amplify human creativity and abilities alongside AI’s efficiency creation. Attendees will learn practical frameworks for redesigning organizational structures, building AI-literate teams, and mitigating displacement fears. Explore specific methods for fostering trust and collaboration across evolving roles, moving beyond implementation mechanics to address cultural and leadership dimensions that determine success.

Presented by Jeff Eyet, The Berkeley Innovation Group

Jeff Eyet is Managing Partner of The Berkeley Innovation Group, where he specializes in guiding mid-market companies in traditional industries through strategic transformation. Having developed five-year growth strategies for manufacturers navigating competitive pressures, Jeff brings firsthand experience in balancing technological advancement with workforce development.
